Maintenance Process of Injection Mold - Part Two

3. With the continuous production time, scale, rust, silt and algae are easy to deposit in the cooling channel, which makes the cross section of the cooling channel smaller and the cooling channel narrower, greatly reducing the heat exchange rate between the cooling liquid and the mold,  increasing the production cost of the enterprise, so the cleaning of the cooling channel should be paid attention to; for hot runner mold, the maintenance of heating and control system is beneficial to prevent production failure, so it is particularly important. Therefore, after the end of each production cycle, the belt heater, rod heater, heating probe and thermocouple on the mold should be measured with ohmmeter. If there is any damage, they should be replaced in time. Meanwhile, compared with the mold resume, and records should be made, so that problems can be found in time and countermeasures can be taken.

4. Attention should be paid to the surface maintenance of dies, which directly affects the surface quality of products, with emphasis on preventing corrosion. Therefore, it is particularly important to choose a suitable, high-quality and professional antirust oil. After the mold completes the production task, different methods should be taken to carefully remove the residual injection molding. Copper rods, copper wires and professional mold cleaning agents can be used to remove the residual injection molding and other deposits in the mold, and then air-dry it. It is forbidden to clean hard objects such as iron wires and steel bars to avoid scratching the surface. If there are rust spots caused by corrosive injection molding, use a grinder for grinding and polishing, spray professional antirust oil, and then store the mold in a dry, cool and dust-free place.

5. A well-maintained mold can shorten the time of mold assembly and test run, reduce production failures, make production run smoothly, ensure product quality, reduce waste loss, and reduce the operating cost and fixed assets investment of enterprises. When the next production cycle starts, enterprises can successfully produce qualified products. Therefore, for injection molding products processing enterprises, in the current fierce market competition, well-maintained molds can give enterprises a hand.
